COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols

Our guests are our lifeblood. It is our intention to do as much as possible to make our guests’ stay not only as enjoyable as possible, but also as safe as we can. We will do our very best to make this happen at our beautiful lodge, located in the stunning bush, in the company of freely roaming animals.


  • Guests will be checked-in in our spacious lounge

Screening & Sanitisation

  • Temperature will be taken at the entrance gate of the Lodge and hands must be sanitised, with a foot-operated sanitiser
  • Anyone with a temperature of 37.5 will not be allowed to enter the lodge, but will be requested to seek medical assistance at other excellent facilities in the area
  • Luggage will be wiped down or sprayed with sanitiser before being delivered to the suite and again before being left in the suite.
  • Temperature checks will be done daily in the public areas

Public Areas

  • Distance of 1,5 meters to be maintained between different social groups
  • Furniture will be positioned in the public spaces to allow social distancing
  • Guests must wear masks in any public area, unless eating or drinking
  • Staff have been trained in the new safety protocols and will wear masks in all public areas

Safari Chalets & Suites

  • The guest’s rooms will be sanitised prior to the guest’s arrivals
  • Each guest’s room will have hand sanitisers provided
  • Guests may choose whether they want staff to service suites daily or not
  • Toiletries normally provided will be reduced to basics in the rooms, but guests are welcome to ask for any items normally provided, which they require during their stay
  • Laundry service has been suspended


  • Kitchen staff will wear masks when preparing food
  • Serving staff will also wear masks at all times and will be sanitising their hands at regular intervals
  • Tables are positioned 2 metres apart
  • Although buffets will no longer be served, we have an excellent menu from which guests may choose from

Game Drives & Bush Walks

  • Seating will be limited to 7 guests on drives unless it is a family or a group travelling together. 
  • Snacks on game drive will be served in separate containers
  • Both guide and tracker will wear masks and all areas in contact with guests will be sanitised before each drive
  • Masks are to be worn by guests on drives and walks
  • Distance of 1,5 meters to be maintained on bush walks

Medical Assistance

  • Should guests require medical assistance, guests are requested to contact the manager. Guests may be asked to isolate in a room provided for the purpose until medical assistance arrives
