Leopard Creek Golf Course borders the Kruger National Park, and is located just an hour away from Lukimbi. It is world renowned for its design (by South African born international golfer, Gary Player) and its location, and is popular with both amateur and professional golfers alike.
Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, for much of the water is home to the namesake of the river nearby; crocodiles. Extensive use has been made of water features, and sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and elephant are commonplace on the course.
The 505 meter par-five 13th is one of Leopard Creek’s most memorable holes. Here the green is right on the edge of the Crocodile River but 32 meters above the level of the water, offering magnificent views up the river and into the Kruger National Park.
Gary Player is especially proud of the par-five 18th with its island green and the par-four 9th with its peninsula green jutting out of the same body of water.
Our guests have the option of booking a game of golf at Leopard Creek. An airconditioned transfer vehicle will collect you from the lodge after breakfast at aroud 9am, and return you in the late afternoon. After formalities are completed, tee off is at around 11am, and a round of 18 holes takes about 4.5 hours.
Cost: Please contact us for the current rates.
We recommend that golfing is pre-booked prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.
